A healing ryokan founded in 1923

This simple inn was founded in 1923. Visitors can enjoy both the Dokuzawa mineral hot springs and paintings at Ryokan Miyanoyu. The ryokan is located a 10-minute car ride outside of Shimosuwa, meaning guests can enjoy a calm, quiet environment as well as gorgeous views of faraway Lake Suwa and the surrounding mountains. The hot spring waters here are drawn from the Dokuzawa hot springs, a cool sulfate mineral hot spring whose mysterious waters can be used for both bathing and drinking. They also boast medicinal properties. Guests who need assistance can also enjoy staying at the barrier-free inn.
