Kaminoyu, whose water is sourced from the Dokuzawa mineral hot springs, has been a popular destination for travelers since the early twentieth century thanks to its gastrointestinal benefits and its reputation as a hidden spot of Shingen Takeda’s. It was reopened in 2001 as a hot spring area for the peace of one’s body and mind. Located within the mountains, Kaminoyu is surrounded by abundant nature. The mineral water here is drinkable and bears medicinal properties, and bathing facilities as well as water fountains are available. Hearty mountain cooking that uses brown rice can also be enjoyed here, making it the perfect location to rest and recover after a long day.
